Job Summary
Coordinate end-to-end system design and security architecture for the Galileo Public Regulated Service, maintaining traceability from mission requirements to implementation and evolving logical, physical, and operational security frameworks. Lead technical assessments for deviation requests, waivers, and engineering change proposals, while managing verification of security statements of compliance across all system builds. Direct a team of engineers and industrial contractors, serving as the primary interface with the Accreditation Team and external stakeholders like EUSPA and the European Commission to support security accreditation and service readiness. Monitor emerging threats and standards to propose enhancements to the security baseline, contribute to long-term system security roadmaps, and prepare technical reports and management briefings for the Head of Unit.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in system engineering or a related discipline
- four years of relevant professional experience
- bachelor's degree
- additional four years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience in the definition, development and verification of security architectures for large and complex systems
- substantial experience in Phase A/B/E and security
- Good knowledge of security engineering principles, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, accountability and non-repudiation
- Good knowledge of space-based navigation systems, signals and security engineering applied to space systems
- Good knowledge and experience of model-based systems engineering and requirement management tools
- Knowledge of space system engineering standards and procedures and project development phases
- Knowledge of industrial development, verification and procurement processes
- Familiarity with the Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) framework and security evaluation methodologies

- eligible to access information, technology, and hardware which is subject to European or US export control and sanctions regulations
- eligible to acquire the security clearance by their national security administrations

- Nationality of one of the following States: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Canada, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Phase C/D is considered an asset
- Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset
