GAINS Content Specialist (Social Services/DHQ)

Job Summary
Develop and oversee high-quality program content for Required Content Areas, ensuring all components meet state mandates and the COMPASS Elementary and Middle school models. Conduct regular program observations to assess quality, support staff growth, and ensure adherence to curriculum standards while providing ongoing supervision and coaching to Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, and Youth Workers. Facilitate training in lesson planning and classroom management, identify staff development needs, and deliver or coordinate professional development sessions. Select, manage, and implement sequenced activities with clear goals, learning objectives, and assessment methods. Arranged educational, cultural, and social activities for students and meet monthly to discuss student progress. Work 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with travel to sites and a minimum of nine hours of services per program per week. Support up to three COMPASS programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or oversight role directly involving: Program content development and management
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or oversight role directly involving: Staff supervision, coaching, and support
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or oversight role directly involving: Training and professional development delivery
- Strong knowledge of youth development principles and structured content-based programming
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff, youth, and community partners
- Must provide a minimum of nine (9) hours of services per program per week
- Will support up to a maximum of three (3) COMPASS programs
- Must be able to travel to sites
- Must work 5 days per week, Monday through Fridays
- Must work 30 hours per week
- Must attend all required training classes
