GA Regional Travel Infusion Nurse

Job Summary

Assess patients, review labs and vital signs, and administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive care agents while verifying doses and ensuring medication safety. Provide triage care for emergent calls from patients, families, and facilities, then document all treatments accurately in the EMR and capture appropriate charges. Educate patients and caregivers on medications and side effects, manage biohazardous waste disposal per OSHA guidelines, and assist with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional overtime or weekend shifts as needed, and travel to other clinic locations up to 25% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • Nursing Degree
  • Unencumbered RN License in state of employment or multi-state license
  • Current CPR and BLS certifications
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
  • Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
  • Ability to assess patient needs and condition
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness

  • Will also be expected to work overtime when given sufficient notice
