Job Summary
Review and refine existing curriculum materials to ensure high quality. Develop new, comprehensive courses and deliver a wide range of new and existing content for students aged 6-16. Provide constructive grading and support to help students succeed in testing and adapt to a Western-style learning atmosphere. Collaborate with the team to revise and expand the primary-level curriculum while working independently on projects as needed. Teaching occurs 16 hours weekly on Saturdays and Sundays during spring and fall semesters, with 24 hours of office work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. During the six-week summer session, teaching hours shift to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor's degree
- Minimum two years' teaching experience (with references)
- A degree in education or a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with common teaching methods and an insight into how students learn
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Willingness and ability to both collaborate on projects and to work independently, as the situation requires
- Positive attitude with an ability to receive criticism and adapt to new methodologies
- 16 hours of teaching per week on Saturday and Sunday
- 24 hours of office work per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
- Teaching hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays
