Job Summary
Drive a 3-Ton (16 ft) straight truck on established routes to collect donated clothing and household items from customers’ homes and donation bins, delivering items to corporate partners and storage facilities. Maintain safety and compliance through pre/post-trip inspections, daily paperwork, Hours-of-Service logs, and proper vehicle documentation. Communicate with dispatch, provide donor support, and log pickups. Up to 29 hours per week with a consistent schedule, offering a signing bonus and employer-paid pension plan where eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must have Full Class 5 and/or G license or higher, passenger car or light truck
- Minimum 5 years driving experience at the above level (2 years if professional commercial vehicle training)
- Clean driver abstract (<21 days old) with no violations/accidents in last 3 years
- Ability to read maps
- Ability to drive a 3-Ton (16 foot) straight truck
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Able to communicate effectively and remain calm with donors
- English language proficiency
