Job Summary
Conduct daily instruction at varying cognitive levels, delivering lessons aligned with district curriculum goals and scope and sequence. Assess student skill levels to determine appropriate learning objectives, then adjust instruction to meet individual differences and specific needs. Manage classroom behavior by communicating expectations and implementing board-adopted discipline procedures for inappropriate conduct. Monitor student progress throughout the learning process, obtaining responses to check mastery before proceeding. Plan weekly lesson plans reflecting goals, objectives, and activities, while supervising paraprofessionals, volunteers, and student teachers. Maintain accurate records of federal, state, and district policy compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate certification
- highly qualified requirements
- Documentation of a negative Mantoux skin test or other tuberculosis-screening test recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control administered within 12 months before the starting date of employment
- A Food Handler's Card authorized through the Arizona Department of Health prior to the starting date of employment
