Job Summary
Deliver patient, one-on-one reading instruction to students in grades 3 through 12, customizing approaches to address individual learning gaps and remedial needs. Conduct engaging tutoring sessions that utilize simplified, systematic methods to foster comprehension and skill development while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. Collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and division directors to facilitate progress and support a positive learning environment. This role supports the school's mission to provide quality education by helping young students overcome reading challenges and build confidence outside regular school hours.
Required Qualifications
- ONLY STUDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK-STUDY (FWS) MAY APPLY
- Proficient reading skills to effectively guide students on their reading journey and address their learning gaps
- Ability to simplify complex concepts, particularly in reading, to support students in understanding fundamental skills
- Patience and adaptability to work with students across different grade levels, tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and division directors, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment
