Job Summary
Conduct safety audits, issue violation reports, and enforce safe work practices in accordance with Local, State, and Federal regulations. Stop projects immediately when immediate danger to life and health exists. Investigate and resolve field safety issues while communicating with project staff and subcontractors to ensure compliance. Function as the onsite Safety Professional, providing leadership, developing partnerships with Subcontractor Safety Reps, and delivering scheduled or impromptu training. Recommend and implement corrective actions based on established policies and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in commercial building construction
- OSHA 30
- First Aid
- CPR & AED Training
Desired Qualifications
- A two-year degree in Safety and Health or equivalent
- In lieu of degree, additional work experience
