FW Safety Technician

Job Summary
Conduct safety audits, issue violation reports, and enforce safe work practices across assigned construction projects. Stop work immediately when immediate danger to life and health exists. Investigate and resolve field safety issues, communicate with project staff and subcontractors, and develop partnerships with safety representatives. Provide leadership by recommending and implementing corrective actions based on policies, guidelines, and procedures. Educate project staff on safety guidelines, conduct scheduled and impromptu training, and serve as an onsite resource for safety-related questions. Requires two years of safety experience, OSHA 30 certification, and a two-year degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to identify known potential exposures and drive implementation of corrective action
- Computer skills and experience with MS Office suite programs
- Proven management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing and train others
- Internal and external customer service
- Two (2) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in commercial building construction
- OSHA 30
- First Aid
- CPR & AED Training
Desired Qualifications
- A two-year degree in Safety and Health or equivalent is preferred. In lieu of degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
