Job Summary
Develop an overall strategy for fraud compliance to ensure standards are implemented across the UOB Group and act as the subject matter expert on all fraud-related topics. Provide final recommendations for fraud escalations from business and support units while building partnerships with key Line 1 and Line 2 stakeholders. Design and implement the Line 2 framework for fraud risk, oversee policies and procedures, and define training initiatives to reflect new regulatory requirements. Review significant fraud compliance matters for senior management, manage team capacity and skills gaps, and handle hiring, promotions, and performance reviews. Requires a bachelor's degree, 8-10 years in financial crime, and strong project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree holder
- 8-10 years of experience in the financial industry
- Strong understanding of banking industry, especially private and wholesale banking products
- Strong understanding of regulatory landscape and industry practices relating to Fraud and/or ABC risks / compliance issues
- Experience writing, owning and operationalising compliance policies in a financial services/banking context
- Broad understanding of risk management, compliance and corporate governance issues
- Project management skills
- Familiarity with project management tools
- Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority, including Senior Management, both in Line 1 business teams and internal control teams
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Legal or related field
- Experience working directly with regulators
