Future Track Trainee

Internship within the City of Philadelphia Streets Department workforce development program. One day per week in a classroom receiving soft-skills training; the remaining four days in the neighborhood beautification program performing outdoor tasks across the City. Projects include cleaning illegal trash dumping sites and alleys; work is physically demanding and may involve lifting 30–40 lbs and potentially using a jackhammer up to 90 lbs. Opportunity to be hired into a full-time civil service capacity after the program. Candidates should be team players, adaptable, eager to learn, and able to follow instructions. Hourly rate is $17.00. Open to all interested applicants with on-site reporting location; reporting location may vary.
