Job Summary

Evaluate complex electro-mechanical devices for dynamic safety and clinical risk, then design software algorithms for new and existing field products. Build software tools and infrastructure that enable research and development of new algorithms, while performing comprehensive testing to ensure quality and performance. Facilitate mechanical, hardware, and software integration of new products, and support system performance tracking from design through manufacturing. Document and pursue intellectual property, and improve group workflow by building tools and teaching others. Manage deep analysis problems within an interdisciplinary team driving future designs for the Ion Endoluminal System platform.

Required Qualifications

  • C/C++ programming skills
  • Matlab programming skills
  • Experience in hardware and software integration of complex electromechanical systems
  • Demonstrate intuitive understanding of mechanical phenomena with ability to do rigorous modeling and analysis
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and work autonomously when necessary
  • PhD or MS in robotics-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • Current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19
  • Preference will be given to qualified candidates who do not reside, or plan to reside, in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, or Tennessee
