Job Summary
Lead process development and characterization for new drug conjugates, translating laboratory processes to scalable operations. Develop and characterize drug-conjugate processes while participating in cross-functional teams to enable CMC deliverables including materials and methods. Author and review key regulatory documents, laboratory data, and technical reports to advance pre-clinical and clinical candidates. Collaborate with organic chemists, analytical teams, and engineers to establish timelines and execute drug substance activities. Supervise direct reports focused on mentoring and career development within aligned programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimally BS (12+ years); MS (10+ years) or PhD (4+ years) in Chemistry or allied field
- 2+ years of previous work experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting
- Experience in drug-conjugate process development
- Proven scientific leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for facilitating collaborations
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional process development teams
- Strong understanding of modern organic chemistry
- Strong understanding of mechanistic theory
- Strong understanding of control strategy development
- Strong understanding of regulatory starting material strategies
- Understanding and adherence to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety and GXP compliance
