Job Summary
Lead HVAC Installer responsibilities cover end-to-end installation of residential and light commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and IAQ systems, from equipment selection and duct fabrication to startup testing, system balancing, and customer handoff. Must install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, air handlers, and ductwork per specs, read blueprints/CAD layouts, fabricate duct transitions, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards. Strong emphasis on site preparation, documentation, teamwork, training apprentices, and clear communication with homeowners. Requires 2+ years of HVAC installation experience, EPA 608 certification, a valid driver’s license, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with installation software (e.g., ServiceTitan). The role involves physical work, troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality customer experiences with professionalism and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of HVAC installation experience (residential or light commercial)
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal) + A2L
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices used in HVAC installation
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
