Job Summary
Fuser II safely and accurately install, repair, test and perform tasks related to construction and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems. Construction will include the new installation of urban & rural mains, services, meters, jumpers and tie-ins. Ensure gas lines and equipment are operating properly & be able to test the various gas components. Overall assistance to crews doing various tasks to ensure timely project completion. All work to be done according to safe work procedures, company work policy, the various utilities’ standards, and up to Atmos Energy Code. Requires heavy manual labor, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, climb, dig, work in tight spaces, and follow instructions. Must pass background checks and drug screening; CDL A required; bilingual ability a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- CDL A is required for this position
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience working with underground utilities desired
- Atmos Energy OQ’s – Will be trained in House if not
