Job Summary
Fuser I is responsible for safely and accurately installing, repairing, and testing natural gas facilities as part of construction and maintenance of gas distribution systems. Tasks include installing urban and rural mains, services, meters, jumpers, and tie-ins; ensuring gas lines and equipment operate properly; and providing overall crew support to meet project timelines. Lifts up to 80 lbs, works under potentially adverse conditions, and follows safety procedures per company and utility standards. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (CDL A is a plus); bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; able to pass background checks and drug screening; on-site role based in Henderson, CO. On-the-job training (Atmos Energy Code compliance) and potential learning of additional skills are noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times per shift
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid State of Residence Driver’s License within two weeks
- Criminal background check and MVR required
- Pre-employment drug screen
- English usage sufficient to keep records and place orders
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL A is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience working with underground utilities is desired
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License within two weeks of employment
- Passing criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pre-employment drug screen
