Job Summary
Construct, install, and maintain piping systems for natural gas utilities using fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupled joints. Support crew operations by loading and unloading equipment, operating machinery, and performing labor as needed. Inspect and test piping systems for leaks while keeping worksites clean, organized, and free from hazards. Maintain all necessary paperwork and documentation and secure the work site to ensure public safety and equipment integrity. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. This role requires DOT OQ Gas Pipeline qualification, a valid driver's license, and experience with pipefitting procedures in an outdoor construction setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 Years job related experience or Military equivalent
- Must hold a valid Driver's License
- DOT Medical Card
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods with repeated lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching
- Pass Pre-Employment drug screen and background check
- DOT OQ Gas Pipeline qualified position
- experience in the use of all types of fusion equipment
- experience in pipefitting procedures
