Job Summary
Installs and moves office furniture and equipment, may read furniture plans/drawings, and works both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down modular furniture, assisting with space planning, transporting items between locations using hand carts, vehicles, or forklifts, and operating various hand or power tools. Facilities Technician II may provide lead direction and coordinate moves, read plans, and perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure layouts fit as designed. Requires readiness to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed and a strong safety-conscious approach. Emphasizes customer service, teamwork, attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to communicate effectively with campus staff. Education/Experience: High school education or equivalent; prior related experience preferred; background checks required.
