Job Summary
Inspect and load product, perform pre-trip vehicle inspections, and lift heavy merchandise exceeding 50 lbs into customers' homes while assembling as required. Deliver furniture and appliances with no damages, perform in-home customer service including settlements, and document delivery status. Record mileage, fuel costs, and problems; complete driver check-in with proper merchandise accounting and invoicing. Requires a Class 5 license, valid driver's abstract, and ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends. Must pass a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (class 5 only is needed) ~ Graduated is NOT sufficient
- Current Driver's Abstract
- Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise exceeding 50 lbs on a regular basis
- High school diploma or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Must pass a criminal background check sponsored by The Brick
Desired Qualifications
- Delivery experience is an asset
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
