Job Summary
Furnace Operator responsible for interpreting customer specifications and purchase orders and translating them into the appropriate heating/processing program to meet material requirements. Must understand how to process given materials and implement the specified process to achieve customer tolerances and AMS/standards (e.g., M2, 8620, 4140, 17-7 with given heat-treat targets). Examples include heat-treat to HRC 62-64, case hardening, and TH1050 conditioning. Role located in High Point, NC, requiring on-site work; ability to read customer prints and P.O.s and translate into approved processing steps.
