Job Summary
Regulate furnace temperature and charge gates, scrap, and ingot in correct proportions. Add fluxes and master alloys, degas metal as needed, and test for gas presence. Remove molten metal at proper pouring temperature, record treatment additions for quality control, and remove slag. Transport ladles to the molding line and pour metal into molds at the proper height and rate. This Heavy Physical Demand role requires lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and standing frequently. Required Qualifications
- Has Math and Computer and communication skills
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Holds a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to waist
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to chest
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to shoulder
- Must be able to carry 75 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 25 feet
- Must be available for shifts from 1:30m to 10:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally has experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a foundry
