Job Summary
Funeral Service Manager role overseeing funeral services across 7 to 15 funeral homes in the region. Lead and coach a team of funeral directors and arrangers, build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, and drive consistently high standards of client care in line with business and commercial objectives. Analyse management information to spot opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure regulatory compliance and competency for operating in a regulated environment. Manage resources and ensure funeral plan coverage in homes without trained colleagues; handle client complaints and ensure premises are immaculate and compliant with health and safety standards. Represent the service in the community and promote Co-op Funeralcare offerings while maintaining professional and sensitive communication with clients during difficult times. Requires a UK manual driving licence and will involve direct contact with the deceased as part of duties. Training and background checks (including DBS/adverse media checks and occupational health questionnaire) are part of the pre-employment process; FCA considerations for certified colleagues may apply.
