Job Summary
Funeral Services Assistant provides clerical and administrative support for funeral operations, assists with services and ceremonies, and helps greet client families. Responsibilities include preparing for services with floral arrangements, caskets, photos and mementos; handling service-related documents; assisting with the preparation of remains as permitted by law; operating office equipment and performing general office duties; driving funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups; coordinating visitation and memorial setups; and delivering compassionate, professional service to families. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, prior customer service/sales experience preferred, proficiency with MS Office and databases preferred, and a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record. This is a part-time role based in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred
- Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
