Job Summary
Manage all phases of funeral arrangements, from setting up services to final disposition, by presenting every family with service and merchandise options. Transfers, embalms, dresses, and prepares deceased per family instructions while ensuring proper paperwork and permits are completed timely. Oversee team members during services, conduct funeral services regularly, and lead post-service follow-ups. Work on-call/first call in rotation for phone, face-to-face, hospital, hospice, and residence visits. Contribute to location efficiency through accurate client files, community event participation, and assigned projects like equipment repair.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure for funeral directing & embalming
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Caring, empathetic, and committed to providing best-in-class service to customers
- Sensitivity and knowledge of different philosophical systems and religions
- Knowledge of basic principles, values, ethics, ways of thinking, customs, practices, and their impact on human culture
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
