Funeral Director/Embalmer

Job Summary
Responsible for compassionate facilitation of funeral arrangement discussions and presiding over visitation, funeral, and graveside services as a licensed Funeral Director. Ensures compliance with all mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulations. Primary responsibilities include conducting Arrangement Conferences, confirming service arrangements, presiding over services as Master of Ceremonies, and performing embalming duties. Candidates should possess strong cognitive abilities, professional communication skills, and have a process-oriented mindset. Must be able to adapt to work conditions that may include night and weekend obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science
- Current Funeral Director and Embalmer dual license within the practicing state
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company owned vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- Industry experience is preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Public speaking skills with the ability to influence and gain consensus
