Job Summary
The Funeral Director/Embalmer serves as the primary contact for client families, responsible for overseeing all tasks related to the preparation, planning, and execution of funeral services. Key responsibilities include consulting with families, managing service arrangements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, embalming and preparing the deceased, and handling necessary paperwork. The role mandates strong communication, attention to detail, teamwork orientation, and excellent customer service skills, alongside a valid state license and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
- 5 years’ experience as a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer.
- Valid and applicable state Funeral Director and Embalmer License; reciprocal across states and in good standing.
- Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) preferred
