Job Summary
Manage all phases of funeral arrangements, from setting up services to final disposition, by ensuring families receive all service and merchandise options. Transfers, embalms, dresses, and prepares deceased per family instructions while conducting and attending funeral services regularly. Oversee team members during services, communicate performance areas, and lead post-service follow-ups. Complete arrangement conferences, ensure timely paperwork and permits, and maintain accurate client files to improve location efficiency. Participate in community events and groups as assigned to boost market share. Work on-call/first call in rotation for phone, face-to-face, hospital, hospice, and residence visits.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure for funeral directing & embalming
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Caring, empathetic, and committed to providing best-in-class service to customers
- Sensitivity and knowledge of different philosophical systems and religions
- Knowledge of basic principles, values, ethics, ways of thinking, customs, practices, and their impact on human culture
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
