Job Summary

Meet with clients to make funeral arrangements, explain service options, assist in casket selection, and prepare standardized contracts. Perform technical and cosmological embalming services, remove and transport deceased from homes or hospitals, and direct funeral services and visitations by greeting families, coordinating pallbearers, and escorting clergy. Finalize arrangement conference details with tracking and compliance documents, including death certificates and coroner permits. Maintain cleanliness of the preparation room and equipment while performing all other related functions as assigned. This role requires availability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience as a licensed funeral director
  • 2 years of post-secondary education
  • Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer
  • the ability to obtain a state license
  • the ability to obtain any additional licensing required by the state
  • Graduated from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science
  • Possesses a high degree of concentration and attention for a continuous period of time
  • Able to occasionally stand/walk and frequently lift or push
  • Possesses valid state driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others in a team atmosphere
