Job Summary
The Funeral Assistant interacts directly with client families, ensuring they receive necessary information and assistance. Responsibilities include assisting in the movement of casketed deceased, maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, and providing support to client families, particularly those with special needs. Essential skills include communication proficiency, teamwork orientation, detail orientation, and time management. A four-year degree or equivalent experience, along with at least one year in client relations, is preferred. The role requires a valid driver's license, and professionalism in handling sensitive situations is vital.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Minimum of 1-year experience in client relations or related field
- Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual is a plus
- Ability to empathize with client families and their guests and demonstrate tact and patience in emotionally charged situations
- Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement
