Job Summary
Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive, multi-stream fundraising and partner programme. Build and manage relationships across major donors, trusts/foundations, corporate partners, and the wider community. Collaborate with the CEO and Board to grow fundraising capability, shaping cases for support, donor experiences, and grant applications to secure sustainable income for conservation, animal welfare and education priorities. Demonstrate strong relationship-building, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making across multiple income streams, with a focus on delivering impact for wildlife and conservation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ progressive fundraising experience in not-for-profit sector
- Track record of securing gifts from major donors, trusts/foundations and/or corporate partners
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication for cases for support, grant applications and donor proposals
- Experience developing and delivering fundraising plans across multiple income streams
- Strong understanding of NZ philanthropic landscape
- Ability to manage high-value relationships with senior leaders and Boards
- Experience using CRM systems and data to inform decision-making and donor engagement
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Willingness to travel as required
