Job Summary
Lead the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Philadelphia by recruiting and managing volunteers, cultivating sponsors and corporate partners, and coordinating outreach and fundraising efforts across multiple peer-to-peer events. Build and empower volunteer committees, coach volunteers to implement proven strategies, drive revenue goals, and manage logistics, budget, and marketing/PR. Develop relationships with key volunteers, sponsors, and organizations, organize outreach activities, and represent the Alzheimer’s Association at events. Requires travel within Philadelphia and the surrounding region, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years in volunteer recruitment or fundraising leadership; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media; familiarity with fundraising software (e.g., Luminate/Convio) preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals
- Preferred peer-to-peer fundraising experience or equivalent sales background
- Must have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory by car
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
