Job Summary
Recruit and engage K-12 students through schools and districts to promote physical activity for the Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge programs. Implement strategies for classroom challenges, activities, and student assemblies, while cultivating ongoing relationships with teachers, principals, and superintendents. Manage high-volume account interactions with 6-10 schools daily via in-person visits, calls, or digital meetings, and continuously update account information in CRM databases and Microsoft products. This full-time field role in Asheville requires extensive travel across Western North Carolina, including early mornings and evenings, with a salary range of $50,600 to $71,000.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or other related experience
- Ability to do daily local travel up to 75%
- requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
- University/College degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to work productively and efficiently from a home office and in the field consistent with the Association's flexible work arrangements policy
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate proactively
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 'we can do this' environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- the ability to efficiently manage and report on data using CRMs
- Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes)
- Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings
