Funding/ Wire Desk Closing Specialist

Job Summary
Review funding packages to ensure all funding conditions are satisfied and verify wire amounts, figures, and Closing Disclosure accuracy. Coordinate and process wire requests while resolving funding issues and discrepancies prior to disbursement. Communicate with title companies, escrow agents, warehouse banks, and internal teams to facilitate timely funding and maintain accurate records within the LOS. Partner with Closing, Processing, Underwriting, and Post-Closing teams to ensure smooth loan delivery while ensuring compliance with investor, agency, and company requirements. This role supports a growing Independent Mortgage Bank's Operations team in delivering accurate, on-time funding for conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
Required Qualifications
- 3–4 years of mortgage funding, closing, or funding desk experience
- Previous experience working for an Independent Mortgage Bank (IMB)
- Strong understanding of the mortgage funding process, Closing Disclosures, and wire disbursements
- Experience with Encompass or a similar mortgage LOS
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple funding deadlines
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products
