Job Summary
The Funder Relations Manager oversees a $6M+ foundation-revenue portfolio, leads grant writing and proposal development, and supervises the Development Data and Research Coordinator. Collaborates with program and finance teams to ensure grant compliance, timely reporting, and compelling impact narratives. Responsible for engagement activities (newsletters, briefings, conferences), donor stewardship, and cross-functional funder communications. Requires 3–5 years in foundation fundraising, strong grant-writing ability, CRM proficiency, and project-management skills. Remote, 100% FTE within the continental US. Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $104,999, with a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities span foundation relationship management, grant-writing and reporting, internal collaboration, and contributing to organizational culture and learning.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in foundation relations, grant writing, or institutional fundraising
- Demonstrated success managing a foundation portfolio and securing philanthropic grants
- Experience supervising or managing junior staff
- Strong grant writing skills across letters of inquiry, proposals, interim and final reports
- Experience managing grant compliance, including award conditions, reporting obligations, and renewal timelines
- Proficiency in CRM systems for tracking funder relationships
- Strong project management skills
- Experience collaborating across program, finance, and communications teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
