Job Summary
Part-time Nursing Faculty for Chamberlain College of Nursing’s BSN program, teaching in-person in the Chicagoland area. Responsibilities include organizing and delivering course content, providing syllabus and terminal objectives, managing asynchronous discussions and synchronous live lectures, and offering timely student support via email, online conferencing, or telephone. Courses span NR222 through NR449 with eight-week sessions; teaching involves online technologies and Canvas, assessing and grading exams, and ensuring alignment with course objectives. Requires a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or higher, unencumbered Illinois RN licensure and unencumbered Compact licensure, and 2+ years of didactic nursing teaching experience; teaching online platforms is preferred. Compensation ranges from $715 to $1,950 per earned credit hour, with actual pay determined by course factors and location.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or higher
- Unencumbered Illinois RN licensure
- Unencumbered Compact licensure
- 2+ years' experience teaching didactic nursing courses for a college or university
- Teaching experience with an online learning platform such as Canvas is preferred
