Job Summary
Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Vanguard's Open Architecture capability across Europe. Identify opportunities to enhance multi-asset solutions by leveraging external investment expertise, client needs, and industry trends. Serve as the client portfolio manager for Open Architecture solutions, articulating views on manager developments and portfolio positioning. Act as the regional subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance on external managers, investment strategies, and portfolio construction to sales teams, product teams, and senior stakeholders. Lead regional governance and model health processes, coordinating analysis and reporting for governance forums while managing escalations. Partner with Oversight & Manager Search to support manager research, monitoring, and oversight activities. Oversee the creation and maintenance of high-quality client-facing content, including manager updates, investment communications, and thought leadership. Build collaborative relationships across Investments, OMS, Product, Distribution, Marketing, Risk, and Operations. This hybrid role requires office presence three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and professional experience
- Significant experience within investment management, product management, investment analysis, strategy, or portfolio management
- Deep understanding of active investment strategies, manager selection and oversight, Open Architecture solutions, and portfolio construction principles
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives across a complex organisation
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate sophisticated investment concepts into compelling insights for both internal and external audiences
- Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
- This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
