Job Summary
Review and resolve technical and operational issues before product delivery, liaising with the RTS team to satisfy their needs and maintain harmonious relationships between sites. Produce Financial Statements and Australian regulatory products including BAS, ABS, ASX, and APRA returns while consulting on regulatory issues for business unit managers. Lead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports by planning deliverables, completing appraisals, providing training, and implementing best practice recommendations. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, maintain accurate operational databases, and manage resources to reduce direct costs.
Required Qualifications
- Strong accounting standards knowledge and its application to investment funds
- Ability to answer client and external auditor/advisor's queries with minimal assistance
- Essential – IFRS experience and knowledge
- Minimum five years of work experience in accounting, legal, financial markets, custody or other relevant work area
- Near completion/completed CPA or CA or other relevant qualification
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes
- Strong management skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Strong project management skills or experience
- Confident in making decisions autonomously and taking initiative
- Regulatory experience – in particular investment trusts and superannuation funds
