Job Summary
Fund Accountant needed to own full quarterly close for assigned fund entities, manage GAAP accounting and trade booking, work with a lean finance team, coordinate with external auditors and a third-party fund administrator, perform NAV calculations, and support regulatory and tax reporting. Requires CPA and 4–7 years in fund or public accounting with fund/credit clients; Big 4 background preferred. Must have experience with waterfall calculations, capital calls/distributions, audits, and strong Excel/MS Office skills; familiarity with credit asset-backed securities or securitizations is a plus. Based in New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- CPA required
- 4–7 years of experience in fund accounting or public accounting with fund/credit clients
- Big 4 background strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with waterfall calculations, capital calls, and capital distributions
- Prior experience coordinating year-end audits with external auditors
- Prior experience working directly with a third-party fund administrator
- Strong Excel skills; proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with credit, asset-backed securities, consumer loans, or securitizations preferred
- Self-starter who can take ownership of processes in a lean, fast-moving environment
