Job Summary
The Fund Accountant is responsible for providing accounting services including the preparation and processing of transactions and financial statements with supporting schedules and work papers. Key responsibilities include cash processing and bank reconciliations, recording journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, preparing workpapers and checklists, preparing financial statements and footnotes, and processing investor capital calls and distributions. The role requires interaction with clients’ independent auditors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Accounting skills
- Experience in cash processing and bank reconciliations
- Ability to record journal entries
- Competency in maintaining general ledger
- Experience in preparing financial statements and footnotes
- Ability to prepare partner capital account information
- Skills in investor capital call/distribution processing
- Ability to liaise with independent auditors
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred degree in accounting
