Job Summary
Functional Testing Engineer responsible for the quality, reliability, and functional accuracy of software platforms, with a focus on video analytics and video management. Responsibilities include defining test strategy and plans, executing tests, defect analysis, and mentoring Junior QA engineers. Requires expertise in both white-box and black-box testing, scripting in languages such as Python or Java, and data validation with SQL. The role involves developing test artefacts, coordinating with product and development teams, creating automated test tooling (Python/Bash/PowerShell), and working with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure). Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills are essential, along with experience in distributed systems and Agile/Scrum environments.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies
- Experience with white-box and black-box testing
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Java or Python
- SQL data validation and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems
