Functional Test Engineer – Trading Systems & Test Automation

Job Summary
Plan, design, and execute functional system tests for Deutsche Börse's cash and derivatives trading system (T7); analyze functional specifications and translate requirements into test scenarios, test cases, test data, and expected results; validate trading functionalities such as order entry, modification, deletion, matching, and market states; develop, maintain, and execute automated functional tests for back-end and front-end components; extend automated regression coverage and participate in CI/CD integration; investigate test failures, perform log analysis and root-cause analysis, report defects, and verify fixes; contribute to automation frameworks and testing tooling; collaborate with specification, development, build, acceptance, and business teams, and optionally apply AI-assisted testing techniques for test data preparation, log analysis, or regression prioritization.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a quantitative or technical field
- Strong experience in functional software testing, ideally in trading systems or capital markets
- Hands-on test automation experience
- Scripting skills in Python and Shell; familiarity with BDD frameworks
- Experience with Linux-based environments, GitHub, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and Jenkins
- Knowledge of cash or derivatives trading concepts is desirable
- Fluent English (and Czech) for international collaboration
