Job Summary

Conduct initial reviews, face-to-face, video, or telephone assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition affects their eligibility for benefits like WCA or PIP. Analyse clinical information and supporting evidence, then write detailed evidence-based reports to support the Department for Work and Pensions in making informed decisions. Use IT systems to support clinical decision-making and report writing while developing knowledge of less familiar health conditions. This role requires a registered nurse, paramedic, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist with at least one year of post-registration experience. Full or part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week) are available Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, with occasional 8pm finishes. Candidates must commit to an initial 8-week full-time training period and hold the right to work in the UK.

Required Qualifications

  • NMC registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD)
  • HCPC registered paramedic, occupational therapist or physiotherapist
  • Valid PIN
  • No current restrictions
  • Minimum of one year's post-registration experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate and detailed reports
  • Comfortable working quickly to meet structured targets
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new systems while working remotely
  • Excellent observational and communication skills
  • Ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper
  • A driving licence or access to transport for assessment centre working
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Successful completion of government baseline personnel security standard vetting
  • Enhanced criminality check results showing both spent and unspent convictions
  • Ability to commit to an initial full time (paid) training period of 8 weeks
  • Ability to work on a Friday each week (for part-time staff)
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday between 8am to 5pm
  • No weekend or night shifts
  • Occasional 8pm finishes may be required
