Job Summary
Deliver English and Maths Functional Skills to Royal Navy apprentices, potentially in classroom or on ships, with 1-2-1 support as needed. Develop coaching and mentoring to support learners, monitor progress, and produce training documentation. Ensure Duty of Care of trainees; require Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (or equivalent) and eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC). Full-time role based at HMS Raleigh/Plymouth within Capita Selborne, supporting the Royal Navy across the UK. Required Qualifications
- Level 2 Key/Functional Skills in English and Maths, or an equivalent/above
- Previous experience of working in a school/education establishment eg Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Higher Learning Teaching, SEN, Pupil Referral Unit Support or Tutor.
Desired Qualifications
- Level 3 - 5 in Education and Training
- Key/Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 2) or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Experience in education settings
- Ability to mentor and coach learners
- UK Security Clearance eligible (SC level)
