Job Summary
Lead execution of ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) activities for Battery/Powertrain and ADAS L2+ functions across the product lifecycle from concept to SOP. Drive completion of HARA, FTA, FMEA, DFA, and STPA analyses while tracking development progress against system, hardware, and software schedules. Support internal and international supplier teams in implementing and validating safety mechanisms, define FSC and review TSC/TSR for suppliers, and validate safety architecture for full traceability. Plan and execute safety verification and validation, organize internal FuSa meetings and technical reviews, and prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Promote reuse of safety concepts to reduce development effort, optimize processes through toolchain improvements, and ensure early identification of safety-related issues. Work closely with engineering and quality teams to streamline workflows and ensure delivery without delay or rework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in functional safety engineering, ideally in Battery/Powertrain components and/or ADAS features
- Solid knowledge of ISO 26262 and familiarity with ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
- Hands-on experience with safety analysis methods (HARA, FMEA, FTA, DFA, STPA)
- Proficiency with safety tools (e.g., CodeBeamer, JIRA) and documentation standards
- Strong understanding of system, hardware, and software safety architectures
- Good collaboration skills to work with internal teams and international suppliers
- Proactive and structured working style; ability to identify risks early and propose solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of clear technical reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in ISO 26262 and international project experience are considered a plus
- Experience with Battery systems, eBus development or Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) FuSa
