Functional Safety Engineer (m/w/d) Prozessindustrie

Job Summary
Develop and implement functional safety concepts per IEC61508/IEC61511 for process plants, supporting customer-oriented SIL analysis including LOPA and HAZOP with a focus on SIS. Evaluate safety functions on control and field levels for SPS, Safety-PLC, and field devices. Review R&I schematics, SIS location lists, and functional diagrams while creating safety proofs and documentation across the full safety lifecycle. Advise clients on safety competency, standard requirements, and modern safety lifecycle management. Assist with modernization, migration, and qualification of SIS/ESD systems from vendors such as HIMA, Honeywell, Siemens, Emerson, Yokogawa, and ABB.
Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Automatisierungs‐/Elektrotechnik, Verfahrenstechnik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Berufserfahrung in der funktionalen Sicherheitstechnik in der Prozessindustrie (Chemie, Pharma, Energie etc.)
- Erfahrung mit gängigen Normen (IEC61511, IEC61508)
- TÜV‐Zertifizierung als Functional Safety Engineer
