Job Summary
Functional Safety Engineer responsibilities include creating functional safety standards in line with ISO26262 and other relevant norms, identifying and mitigating hazards across the development lifecycle of vehicle systems, leading the development of functional safety concepts at system, hardware, and software levels, supporting validation to meet safety goals and ASIL requirements, coordinating HARAs, classifying risks with ASIL, translating high-level safety requirements into detailed hardware/software requirements, specifying diagnostic requirements, conducting FTAs and FMEA, coordinating root-cause analyses with engineering teams and suppliers, generating safety documentation, and participating in safety assessments, audits, and safety cases for final vehicle homologation. Collaboration with stakeholders across system V development from concept to launch with design reviews and cross-functional teams is expected. Domain/working knowledge of SW controls, EE, Electronics, and mechatronics system development, testing, and validation methods.
