Job Summary
Standardise functional safety requirement definitions across all PMIC products, focusing on achieving safety goals while minimising design area and cost. Review PMIC FuSa definitions against industry standards, propose standard definitions for building blocks, and define requirements based on inputs from FuSa standards, customers, and systems architects. Work with chip and system architects to propose implementation architectures and interface with safety assessors for pre-approval of standard FuSa blocks. Create a library of functional safety definitions targeting a family concept with similar "look and feel" and mentor product-level FuSa engineers. Present training to customers and internal teams, drive SAP towards tool-based FuSa workflows, and investigate AI-driven definition and documentation methods.
Required Qualifications
- BSc/Master's in engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience in product definition and functional safety, ideally for PMIC or other power ICs
- Proven track record of successful product definitions and product launches
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of safety and compliance standards (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100 etc.)
- Strong understanding of system-level power requirements, system level functional safety and board-level integration challenges for MCU, MPU and SoC systems
- Experience with Functional Safety assessment process
- Experience using or defining Functional Safety tool flows, using requirements management tools and with Simplis or other modelling tools
- High level knowledge of complete Mixed Signal design flow through to mass production
- Leadership in technical reviews and mentorship
- Ability to balance trade-offs between performance, power, area, and cost
- Able to make significant contributions to projects, programs and business initiatives with the ability to propose innovative solutions
- Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team
- Able to communicate with customers and stakeholders at an appropriate level
- Available to travel for internal and customer meetings
