Functional Family Therapist

Job Summary
Provide home-based Functional Family Therapy services to adolescents and their families using the Functional Family Therapy model. Maintain and manage an assigned caseload of 8–10 families, offering weekly one-hour sessions in the family’s home environment over 8 to 26 weeks. Collaborate with the therapy team, connect families with community resources, complete required documentation, and maintain culturally responsive, ethical practice. Located in Sioux City, Iowa with hybrid remote options; Bachelor’s degree preferred and at least two years of experience in children and family services preferred. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to engage families who may be resistant to services while delivering strength-based interventions that empower families to identify solutions and achieve positive change. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, counseling, education, or another related human service field
- Minimum of two years of experience working in children and family services preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to engage families who may initially be resistant to services or support
- Ability to adapt and individualize interventions by recognizing and building upon family strengths and skills
- Commitment to empowering families to identify solutions and achieve positive change
Desired Qualifications
