Functional Family Specialist

Job Summary
Lead and deliver client-centered family services using the Functional Family Therapy model for adolescents aged 10-18 across multiple counties (Cerro Gordo, Marshall, Black Hawk & Bremer) with a caseload of 10–15 families. Responsibilities include conducting weekly home-based family therapy sessions (minimum 1 hour), developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring progress toward goals, and facilitating community resource planning, case progress evaluation, and permanency planning. Manage discharge planning and documentation, coordinate with schools, medical and psychiatric contacts, referring workers, and collaterals, and collaborate with stakeholders for comprehensive case management. Requires a Master’s degree in a related field and supports a flexible schedule with potential for growth within a nonprofit social-services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services, criminal justice or a related field
