Job Summary
Conduct research on fiscal management and propose innovative solutions to address problems in the areas of fiscal management. Analyze both independently and as part of a team while maintaining a public trust clearance and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Support the Financial Technology Service within the Department of Veterans Affairs Financial Services Center, focusing on digital transformation across enterprise requirements including timekeeping, payroll, accounting, and financial reporting. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline and 10 years of related experience. Position available in Austin, TX or fully remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a Related Scientific or Technical Discipline
- 8 years of additional relevant experience
- 10 years related experience
- experience and deep knowledge of business, functional and technical areas/disciplines
- ability to conduct research on fiscal management
- experience with proposing innovative solutions to problems in the areas of fiscal management
- ability to work and analyze both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues
- desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail
- Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings
- Knowledge of military and Veteran populations
